TUMBLING INTO SEXSMITH
What an great day it was. By the end of our training we were definitely pros. You couldn’t determine whose cartwheels were better us or the Pre-Competitive Girls. We arrived in Sexsmith after a short and easy drive and was greeted by Coach Alison who ran us through all the standard COVID-19 requirements for their gym. We were then guided through a routine warm-up with the pre-competitive girls before running drills for cartwheels into flipping for future training. Coach Alison walked through drill for beam teaching up some standard positions and arm positions used to balance, spin and jump on the beam. We had a great time learning gymnastics and can’t wait to see the Adult Gymnastics classes take off up in Sexsmith and the pre-competitive girls representing Sexsmith in a post-covid competition.

- Continue north on AB-2 N
- Turn left onto Township Road 734/ 95 Avenue
- Turn right onto 98 Ave
- Turn Left at the 1st cross street onto 99 st.
- Turn right and the Sexsmith Civic Centre will be on your first right.
About sexsmith tumbling club:
We are a non-competitive organization that operates in the Town of Sexsmith offering classes starting at age 18 months up to adult. Coach Alison took over the role of head coach in June of 2020. She previously coached and trained, as an athlete, with the Grande Prairie Gymnastics Club. She is excited to bring high quality training to the non-profit club and provide all ages an opportunity to enjoy gymnastics no matter or level, age or financial barriers.
