At the 2019 Nationals Gary earned a spot on Team Canada and after over 20 years of dedication and determination for this sport and his 7^th trip to the worlds stage in Rumia Poland he earned his first World Championships Gold Medal! 2019 Accomplishments include:

• IFA World Championships. Rumia Poland. Senior Grand Masters 75kg Left Arm – Gold. Right Arm – Silver.
• CAWF National Armwrestling Championships 75kg Left Arm – Bronze.
• Alberta Provincial Armwrestling Championships – Masters Mens under 200lb Left Arm – 4th Place. Right Arm – 4th Place.
• Calgary Open Armwrestling Tournament – Men 175lb Right Arm – Bronze
