Blog / Mairen Lawson – Triathlon

Mairen is the inspiration and role model for the Triathlon Club. As a busy athlete her love of the sport encompasses her and gives back any spare time she has to coaching the 4-8 year old groups. In 2019, her accomplishments included:

• 2nd place in the International Triathlon Union World triathlon
• 6th/8th at Triathlon Nationals
• 5th place Western Canada Summer Games
• 3rd place finish in provincial junior cup series
• 1st in the all female Alberta Relay team at Western Canada Games
• Named speed revolution 2019 female athlete of the year
• Made the provincial development team, Provincial Performance team and Team Alberta.
